    Greetings all.

Am looking for advice / suggestions. seriously considering changing professions, looking at several companies / schools. Central refrigeration, Swift, Cr England, USA truck, and Driver solutions. from what i have read all say the same, 3 - 6 weeks training, which is not paid, can understand. have seen a lot of negative about almost all these companies. anyone with other recommendations would be appreciated. I do have a pretty good idea of what to expect mostly, and im sure there is a lot i have no clue about. Been a mechanic most of my life, but enough is enough. Thanks for any input you all may have, and drive safe.

None of those companies have unpaid training. You will always get paid, just not by the mile. USA I think gives you like $350 a week? I'm not sure. I don't know about Swift or CRE. Driver Solutions works with PAM, who I drive for. You get $300 a week with PAM, plus $50 when you get on the truck, an "orientation bonus". PAM's training is 4 weeks. Sometimes a little longer, sometimes not. Depends on how you drive.

Oh, you'll always see negative about every company. But you can't always listen to it. Most times, it's from disgruntled drivers. Not always, but most times. :)

and regards to drive. its not like i havent been in a larger truck before. although the tractor/trailers im sure are a different ballgame. my exp, is mostly military 2.5 and 5 ton trucks, and trailers were only like 8-10 footers.
