ARRRRRRRRRRGH How Freaking blind I was to go with this crap company here are my reasons why I suddenly had a big change of heart

    1. They steal from you..example I had a run going from Corpus Christi Tx to Searcy Arkansas the total miles according to the qualcomm was 989 miles...bull crap!!!
    2. They are actually charging you for fuel...you just dont know it....thank god my father was round to do some digging on this.
    3. I drove 2800 miles last week only made $580 stinking dollars???..I finally realized that they only pay you what they feel like. I got my pay sheet and investigated this.
    4. The dispatchers are all retarded I was given a load from Pennsylvania to Little Rock AR...well I got to the shipper after 3 hours of busting my ### to get there and guess what someone already came and got the load yesterday!!!!!!!!!! I lost 989 miles on that run
    5. The dispatchers are buttholes!!!!...I called once and asked if they could maybe give me some more details on a certain shipper ya know what the dispatcher said?"CAN'T YOU READ" I replied "yes I can you except a !@@#!@ punch in the mouth?"
After intensive research I discovered that they suck about 200-250 miles from you on each run and also charge 12% from your pay rate so instead of making 38 cpm Im making 34 cpm.....:biggrin_25516:

People please stay the hell away from these clowns its nothing but a fly by night company that totally loves to screw its drivers over. I' m still with them Im stuck in Erie, PA right now I have a load to pick up tommorrow its going to Searcy, AR I'm gonnna take it and on my way to the receiver I'm gonna be sure to take this truck and drive it up there +++.:biggrin_25516:

I did apply for some compaines here is who I applied too so far.
    #1 USA Truck
    #2 Crete
    #3 Celadon
    #5 Covenant
    #6 Swift

I already got some offers just haven't decide on which one to go with any suggestions?

..that they charge the driver for going out-of-route! I'd be in big trouble, as I go OOR all the time to visit friends & relatives if I have the time!! ha ha:yes2557:

Oh, yea, US Xpress has some bad problems for sure...kind of like Covenant...NEVER go with them if you didn't like US Xpress! Also, USA Truck is junk. The best one you have listed there, IMHO, is Crete out of Lincoln, NE.

When I first started trucking in Feb 1994, I drove for Southwest Motor Freight for over 2 years and US Xpress bought them out...they were such buttholes that I quit within 30 days. I know how you feel. Covenant is certainly NOT a good choice for you as they ARE family with US Xpress. Swift is not even worth talking about anymore as they are one of the most horrible trucking companies in America, the likes of JB Hunt.

well that is one good thing they don't care if you go out of route all they will do is charge you like 60 cents for every mile you go out of route....lol as for me going out of route I really don't I have one of them garmin 7200 GPS devices and yes its the trucker friendly model it works like a freaking champ!!! everytime I use it there are tears rolling down my cheeks because Im so friggin happy with it!!! It does cost a pretty penny though they are just a shade under a grand but still its worth it it tells you everything how many miles left how many hours left exactly when to turn everything you could ever want...ok I'm sorry if I'm rambling but man o man definetly a wise investment.

you probably have a bad dispatcher, I've been driving for USX for a couple years i've thought about leaving but to be honest they are the best worst option out of most companies, I'm Currently working on getting a worth while driving job with Wal-Mart or LTL or US-Mail...

i have never had USX stiff me once on a pay check there was a small problem with the Wal-Mart account 2 months ago and the computer kept rejecting all our deadhead miles for 3 weeks and after they got the problem fixed they just reinbursed us a Grand...

they have Great Equipment as far as the trucks go and keep them well maintained and if you get a dedicated account you can get all your PM's done at TA's its a lot faster...

i would try and switch dispatchers 1st.. as far as them charging for OOR miles if you get grossly out of route say 80+ they will back charge you the 80 and what ever else you went out of route at the rate of $1.25 per mile it says it right in the Driver's manual...

you may have gotten 2,800 miles but remember your on a sliding scale and the longer the Run the Less you make...
I would personally take the complaint with the Ops Manager and ask for a new dispatcher, the only reason i am telling you this is because you will loose alot of money in the process of switching jobs... im just saying Explore your options within the company B4 quitting...

Walmart Account is real easy to get on all you need is 1 year verifiable OTR experience and NO Accidents... or Probation.. then call the account manager check on any open slots (which they may be a couple but the account doesnt really open up until end of August) and the last requirment is you have to live in a area where they have the bid to run out of.

My husband drives for Beech too. They started out great for us too, but quickly went down the toilet.

At least you are getting pay sheets, we havent seen a paystub in over 2 months.

The miles are there to run, if the planners knew how to plan loads so that you arent spending 1/2 of your on duty time after you drop a load waiting for them to send you the next load.

I am really interested in looking at paystubs after seeing your post, because I think they have been ripping us off for a long time, but I cant prove it. they keep telling us that they are waiting on some sort of online pay system to be set up. How are you getting your paycheck stubs?

As for the situation of having lost the load to another driver, they have done that to us about 4 times. I think they do it just to get you off their back about finding you a load, because generally it always happens right about the time that the dispatchers are leaving for the day.

Well here is how I figured out how they where ripping me off. I recently purchased a GPS and I was bored one day so I took out all my logs and started figuring out distances from state to state. It turns out that they where robbing me at least 150-250 miles on everyrun. I kinda understand the sliding pay scale thing but ####!!! Thats too much. I remember my truck took a crap on me in Charlotte,NC "Transmission problems" I was stuck there for 5 days with no pay and no nothing I even called my dispatcher and she told me I won't be reimbursed simply for the fact that she felt and my fleet manager felt that I could have bobtailed back to the little rock terminal...yeah right!!! Anyways as for your question regarding the pay stub yes I do get them in the mail. I plan on staying with them for just a few more days and then I'm gonna take all there ##### to court and make sure they pay me for everything that they owe me.:biggrin_25516:
