I don't blame you for wanting to drop in a defend your school, but your smarmy, short-tempered, pissy post doesn't earn any respect. It's been a long time since I started in the business, but if I WAS looking for a school, and saw your little rant, your school would slide off my radar. Just a thought.
Future truckers of America sucks!!!

Short tempered and pissy? Sorry Ronin, but I just don't see that in his post. And if it is, who can blame him.
Oh wait a minute. YOU can blame him. . .
acruiser, Skydivedavec, J R W and 2 others Thank this. -
I guess I can blame him since I don't have a horse in the race... but it seemed pretty immature to me - he had an opportunity to lay it all out and look really strong, but it came off like one of those teenager arguments that escalates with "oh, yeah?"
Perhaps I'm reading too much into it - I've been wrong before, but only once or twice. -
I know about that crap. That's why I'm on marriage # 3. Oh well, two mistakes in allllllllllll those years!
-
Good on ya, but I have you beat - only TWO marriages! I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

If my reply sounded "a little pissy", so be it. Understand that small companies like ours are built on the reputation of good training and treating students with respect. I will admit with earnest, that when I read negative comments about our company that have no substance, I am quick to defend what we have built from the ground up. If you thought my comments would deter you from coming to this school, how many people would not choose us because of the original post. A little unprofessional, I will give you that. But, the readers of this blog will and do make decisions about schools according to the information that is posted, rather it is valid or not. I felt it was very important to defend ourselves against these accusations. Next time maybe I will give it a day and respond in a better way.tquevedo, acruiser, Skydivedavec and 1 other person Thank this.

I have never heard anything bad about FTA. I just advise people to check the community colleges out first.
I have seen their trucks and trailers on the road and they frequent the truck stop near my house. If you need to get trained quickly, they may be a good choice.Skydivedavec Thanks this. -
i will teach you in 3 days for 2500 and get you a lot lizard and a shower ticket

rannyb, I think you did a fine job in defending your school. My opinion, truck driving schools should have a minimum of 6 months learning to get a CDL. 250 hrs, ALL kinds of Maneuvers in backing up. When a Person graduates from a Truck Driving School, They should have a Truck Rodeo, to show, Best of the Best.
