Just remember that Halliburton has you banging iron all day. You are an "operator" not a driver. Might be worth a shot at MBI just to know that your title will be "truck driver". MBI still looks good on an application if you don't like it there. I think MBI starts around 19 per hour. They are having growth issues but still a very good company. I'd give them a shot before Halliburton. The big red machine is looking for bodies. Any body they can get.

He kept making "follow up calls" and finally got a "you're hired" from a company a neighbor of ours drives for. Fox Run Transport out of Minot.
I have no doubt the hiring came as a direct result of our neighbor putting in a good word for my husband.
It took three weeks to get hired when all is said and done. And that includes having a friend already at the same outfit. He starts on the 20th.
Our buddy said they've had a real slowdown in the last couple of weeks though (apparently winter finally hit lol) So maybe that's why the hiring slowdown?
Or, maybe it's just that there are enough guys UP THERE who they can have face-to-face contact with that the guys who apply long distance are at the end of the list... -

Have a naive question. Do these companies expect an obligation? That is to say, a contract for a minimum commitment?
