Seymour, In south bound scale is a DOT training site. Usually a lot of activity when they're open. Kinda surprised they were open Easter.

Best first comment is, "Don't you have anything better to do?"

I allways have to pull in, no pre-pass, plus oversize most of the time, gotta' go to the back side of the house. Knock on wood..... I have'nt had any bad experiences in my new boat hauling job.

Yup my truck has PrePass when I get near the weigh station that pole with the white camera looking thing sends a signal to my truck that it is OK to bypass the station. Sometimes you can even see the little weigh scale on the interstate that checks to see if you are overweight. If you are close or over the PrePass beeps differently and displays a red light telling me I need to pull in and get screwed.

You can add weight gauges to an air ride tractor and trailer for less than $300. No real excuse for being overweight, unless you're running spring ride equipment.

Yes, it is spring ride, and like i said before, unless you've hauled scrap before, you dont know what its like. Every load is different and you really have no clue how much you weigh. I'll tell you what, ill post a pic and you can tell me how much i weigh.

I'm company and we have 24 trailers in rotation at the client where I do shuttles.

Each load is estimated at 45K. I know I can pull 45 with full tanks and not be over, but I can't guarantee each axle. I am getting much better at telling by the bounce of the cab and trailer when the load is balanced within 500 pounds.
