Yes depending on how you run. Stay in good freight area and keep your deadhead down and you can easily take home $1,200. My issue is I have to deadhead too far to get home every weekend so now I go home every other weekend unless I can go home under load. It was costing me $200+ in fuel and maintenance since I don't live in a good freight area.

$1,200 is that after your truck payment? If so, is your truck payment a lot?

Yes that's net take home after all deductions. On top of insurance, plates, permits, etc... I am also paying for my securement equipment, truck payment, and trailer lease. When I say take home I'm talking the $ I take home after deductions but BEFORE taxes. I take out taxes and save it in a separate account for when I file my quarterlies.

But your bringing home $1200 a week and going home every or every other weekend right? I could easily make a lot more by staying out 2-3 weeks at a time?

I asked my recruiter about the temp login for the loadboard. She said she has heard of other recruiters doing that but she doesn't herself. There is a carrier plant 2 mins from my house in Charlotte,NC that has multiple Malone trucks in and out all day so that is a good sign for me that I should be able to have less deadhead for home time.

Basically you enter where you are, a radius in which you are looking for loads, and if you wish where you want to go and a radius for that. A lot of the loads there are garbage though. Better off calling an agent in the area or using an outside loadboard. I've found a few of the brokers we can haul for are landstar, worldwide logistics, and UTI. I know we cannot haul TQL and a couple others whose names escape me at the moment.

When you call a broker on the loadboard an get a rate, is the rate with fsc included? I like the rate index tool because I can see where the best lanes are.
