You gotta make time for showers man. You can't let a dispatcher run you to the point you can't take care of basic hygiene. Sometimes you get stuck at a shipper, but otherwise there's always time to take a shower, only takes a 30 minute block of time. Why do you keep insisting he gets trash paychecks? Because you did means everyone does?

Roehls top pay is .48 cpm. I can show you plenty of paystubs clearing over 1000/week after taxes, but you probably wouldn't believe me anyhow.

I take a shower every day because I pay for mine when i don't have one on my card. I ain't gonna let my personal hygiene get ruined because I'm a trucker. OTR doesn't "have to work that way"

Like Treefork said, Roehls top pay is 48cpm for flats, 47 for curtain and reefer, and 46 for van. I'm making 39cpm now and I've had a few 4 digit paychecks.

Sure, my last weeks paycheck was $400 after taxes, which was my own fault, but the one before that was $1567. I stagger my loads so that I get the most pay while on hometime. Also, don't say the excuse of I'm young with no bills and that's how I survive on that low pay, in my neck of the woods 30cpm is considered a good living. I have a lot of bills and debts I'm paying off for my stupidity with credit cards and a car I'm upside down in. I could get a local job hauling logs and clear $1,000/week, but local just ain't what I do. Otr is, because trucking is my life.

I get by and then some. Roehl has helped me in a lot of ways, financially.

It went up when they introduced the new pay plan.

I was at 35cpm before. After the new pay plan I got a raise to 39cpm. With the new pay you get a performance review every quarter. If you kept doing what you need to do and aren't late on loads and such then you get a 1cpm raise. If in that quarter you don't have any preventable accidents then you get another 1cpm increase. Meaning every quarter you can receive up to 2cpm increase in pay until you reach the cap.

If you have a good quarter, your pay goes up. Your pay only goes down if you have two bad quarters on a row.

Its based off of a point system. You start every quarter with 5,000 points. If you have a service failure that's your fault then that deducts 2,000 points. Once you get below a certain amount of points then your pay will drop by 1cpm. But you have to have two bad quarters in a row in order for your pay to go down.

For some people it will put them to the cap in a couple years. Others will stay the same if they are crappy drivers.

Oh and if you have a twic card, passport, or hazmat endorsement, you'll start out with a lot more points. If you have all three I believe you start with 6,800 points instead of 5,000 for the quarter. You also get another penny per mile raise if you have all three.

Its complicated to a degree, but this is what I understand from what I was told by my FM.

I struggle to read your post..

Company side I avg'd $700 bring home with Roehl.. Then again I run hard. Roehl is a great company, which is why I leased onto them. They are a stable company, just because you got a bad paychecks doesn't mean everyone gets bad pay checks.

There are several million milers with Roehl, apparently this company has done something right for them to stay.

As for showers....... Everyday, and if I have to miss a day, I work it into the next morning first thing. No one will dictate how I manage my hygiene.. If I CHOOSE to stay at a customer or in a area with no showers around that is my CHOICE not ROEHLS. Simple phone call... "Hey FM, they don't have facilities here so I can't park overnight. I'll get as close as I can then start my day earlier."... If they say anything other then "Ok" just bring up customer doesn't provide proper facilities. Or if your going to park overnight somewhere, stop at the closest place take a shower and head there. Shutdown and start in the AM.

It's rather a simple concept. Everything is your CHOICE, they can't force you to do anything you don't want to.
