There's a Western Express sub-forum, but it's not real active currently:

Start looking over the posts in there and that will give you something to read until some others can reply. -
Western express in my opinion is a 2nd chance company. They will hire felons and people with at fault roll overs / accidents. you can call a recruiter and she wont offer more than 32cpm(most likely 30cpm). location matters i dont know where u live but the new Fontana terminal is a disaster they stack trailers 5-6 deep and dont have a yard dog truck(well the do they just don't wanna fix it because it needs a 2000 dollar part) maybe they fixed it by now but i got my year in and left about 4months ago. so if you get a shuttle load(fontana terminal to L.A) to L.A and its the 5th trailer back your gonna pull the 4 in front move ur trailer up and put those 4 back unpaid. You only get short haul pay if you complete the load from start to finish meaning u picked load up at shipper and deliv'd at receiver. A pre plan on ur qualcomm means nothing they have and will change it about 3-4 times before u finish ur current load. i've found glassdoor . com to be a helpful site in getting an idea of a company... oh, pay cap for western regional is 34cpm. its decent place if your a student or need a place to work while ur record cleans up

Run...away...quickly. do NOT work for this company. I'm sorry but you want no part of this. That goes for everyone thinking about this company. Working on a dock is better. Any more information just search my name on here and look at my post in the western express thread
