These weeks happen. They won't all be peaches n cream. Get upset and vent, but let it go afterwards, otherwise you end up doing something stupid.

Stupid to them, just might be the best for both of us. Them putting in a hotel is stupid when im only 100 miles from home. Lets add that up two nights is 100 dollars. 100 dollars verses 14 gals of fuel at 4 dollars is only 56 dollars. Which saves the company? Me going home of course.
-
Understood, just like the company I'm at. It's costing me time and money sitting here while they reload. And I'm not the only one here. How much do they lose reloading all these trailers? Do it right first time.
-
We all get frustrated. Hell, I want to quit every other week because something stupid happens. It's part of the business and part of life. Vent, complain, #####, moan, curse, whatever it takes. Wake up the next day refreshed and move on. As for the no heat, idle the truck. If you can't figure out how to, call maintenance and ask them. If you still can't then call Dispatch and tell them you need a hotel or permission to head home where it's warm. Calm cool and collective. Once off the phone, curse and throw things all you like.
BIGLEE500 and technoroom Thank this. -
Cant idle. Without me sitting there to press the fuel. Im about to call maintenance right now.
-
Oh, I was cursing on the phone yesterday. Just don't get personal, fm knows I vent, then fine the next day. Depends on personality, some might not take it so well, I really like my fm, we get along good.

Dude in maintenance was absolutely no help.

What truck do you have? Freight or International?
Freightliners, all you need is something heavy to lean on the throttle. Just enough to make the RPM's go up and it will idle. International needs the same and also leave the truck parking brakes released. That should keep it idling. -
Freightliner. They told me to drop this in darlington which is farther than I bought it from Ellenwood. I asked him what my next load was and got not answer. So im going to sleep til he answers me.
-
Welcome to weekend dispatch! LOL, your next load is on Monday morning!
