I did once for a small company which went out of business 6yrs ago.. (good riddance) In their style they told me NOTHING..Anyway I had a stepdeck full of bees from Valley,ND which went to Mountain View,CA..I learned..
    1. Bees of course are active during the day (light) and in warmer temps-so try to keep moving during daylight hrs.

    2. I never parked at TruckStops as I know many are allergic to bee stings and I have no idea what the legal ramifications of THAT would ah..Er..."be". :)

Wish I could help ya more-only did it once-someone will "be" (I know, right) along..

expect to have a trailer full of bees that die enroute.

Get a bee suit and a veil BEFORE you have to tarp a load of bees down.

Keep moving during the day. Even if it means getting on 2 lane and going 30-40 to make the time they TELL YOU TO BE THERE.

They should tell you to water them when fueling and talk or sing to them.(sounds silly but it works) Wear light color clothes not dark. Bees are pretty easy critters to haul. Just follow the instructions from the keepers. They dont attack unless they feel threatened.

Last time i heard about a Bee load was in the news when a tractor trailer full of bees overturned in a Interstate somewhere and the bees were everywhere. It was hell and the DOT and all the crew had to wear bee suits. You are brave acepting a load like that.

The Scales at Truckee didn't with me..Seems I needed a "Bee Stamp" which I did not have..Early to mid-afternoon (my fault) shift changed and they let me go..

Hundreds (thousands) of bees tried to catch up to their leader the Queen-I gave a chance for awhile..But I had to put the pedal down eventually..:) Well you know..CA style..:)

I've hauled bees. They do get active, when the day warms up, so try to keep moving during daylight. The loading crew will tarp and strap the load. They load and unload starting in late evening, as the sun is setting.
