good news (for me anyways). got the ok to drop load tomorrow. so i left tehachippi and drove another 3 hrs. figured i want to start around 0600 instead 0300. anyways, got into a heavy traffic on hwy99 and didn't make it to pilot in madera. should've made it there at 2000 but its 2045 and only got to E-Z truck stop about 20 miles short. oh well, only have 288 miles to go to final. so now,i get to leave at 0700.

theres a couple other places there too, I hauled a load of plywood out of Klamath over a week ago

Sitting in Fontana, I got to my destination 10 min before time to find out the place isnt even open, the qc messages said drop the trailer and paperwork in a box if afterhours but there is an electric gate and nobody would answer so a driver manager told me just to tcall it in mira loma and then a planner asked him to ask me if I would accept a load to San Diego instead, I asked if I could get something going towards Lancaster, CA so i can do a 34 and see my family. He asked if I would do this first and they will see what they can do...

anyway preplan comes through and im helping a circus move, they want me to bobtail and meet with the circus team and driver leader and help them haul. Wonder if they had a truck break down or something needing help. When I saw the comments though I was surprised.

"This is not your average load, your helping move a Circus! on time bla bla bla"

    At a J off I70 in UT.

Trying to decide if I want to stop tomorrow night in Primm at the J or go through to Barstow to my fuel stop at the J.
From Primm I'd have to start driving by 0300 to make my 0800 delivery in Montebello, from Barstow probably around 0500.
Leaning towards Primm so I can avoid the Sunday afternoon traffic into CA. I'd probably lose a couple hours break time just from the traffic.

Hopefully an hour extra for morning traffic will be enough, though it's hard to guess.
But this JIT load can't be late, and it also can't deliver more than 15 minutes before the appointment time - and we can't park at the customer or on the street, from what the comments said.
    Gotta love all the constraints.

    oh joy sounds fun lol

    Where is it being delivered?
I know traffic was horrible for me today going from the 15 to 91 and the 605. It took me roughly a hour to go 20 miles or so before I got through.
If you can find a place to park anywhere near the place I would go for the 0300 to beat that traffic, I would of left earlier than 7:20 this morning if my 10 would of ended sooner.
