I'm thinking of going with swift. Can someone please tell me how does paying back the tuition work if I go to their academy? Thank you.

very bad. i got ripped off so bad for deductions i had to find another company. they took 200$ out for school one week. i was lucky to get paychecks at all, and when i did, 63$
bottom line, good training but not a good company to work for after u finish training. if u can id go somewhere else -
Not a bad company for most, some had bad experiences, as with all companies.
After you go solo they deduct $75 a week. At the same time they add $37.50 a week. After 13 months your financial obligation is paid off. They continue to add $37.50 a week to your pay each week until after another 13 months they have paid you back everything you paid in. At no time do you sign a commitment to work only at Swift, the only commitment you sign is one that states you will pay Swift back the amount of the loan you took to go to their school. You are free to leave at any time as long as you make arrangements to pay them back. In a nutshell, 13 months you are free and clear, another 13 months you have been paid back for your training. -
Inkeper, thank you for the information. Do you know anything about their flatbed division?

Man Im not going to lie im at millington,Tn . The people are okay . But all the crap they make you sign i crazy. Im going to call my recruiter and see can I come back to Ga. I should of just got my license in Ga the first place seriously. They want 3900 just for the school its self . What the h33 plus if you stay at one of their motels its another 500 on top of that is it worth it. No not really yes they will train you to get you cdls and its up to you to pass the test but those fees they charge you no. h33 no.

The hotel is extra on top the 3,900??? I was told the total cost is $3,900 hotel included.

Sorry I've been a door slammer all 9 years. There are some threads on here that talk about flatbedding, and the mentors. Let them know right off the bat that that is what you want. Sometimes the wait for a F/B mentor is a bit longer.

Hotel is part of the deal, not charged to you, unless you decide not to stay at the one Swift uses.
-
No the hotel is an additional $500 over the $3900 tuition.
Marky, without some proof, even more details, of your claim of being charged $200 in one week for tuition loan repayment I'm going to straight up call you a liar. Up to you... -
I didn't know that, changed since I went, Thanks Frank
