My ex-brother in law did one tour over in the sand box, he said they went 35 days without a shower or even enough extra water to wipe down, I can't even imagine. Sad really, you guys put your lives on the line and can't even get a shower at times, thank you for your service.

I'll wind down that gear and leave, and not give a hoot. They know I dont care if I pull them or not, I make money pulling my little RGN around OK.
When it's windy, fair enough it isn't safe, otherwise I dont care. I cant even begin to say how many times I have dropped a loaded blade trailer.....
As far as showers, I take one every day, period. Yep, I pay for them at times, and honestly dont care. This year alone I have paid $306.50 for showers according to my accounts program. Sometimes I can't stop where they are free when under an OD load, so I get one when I can. It is every day though...
Last year, we were on the Windthorst job, over 100 every day, and maybe 80's at night. We counted them BOTH not having a shower for 4 days, and they were sleeping in the same truck at that time! Sad when me and my steer car stopped every day, so they stopped too mostly. It's a small thing, but my steer cars seem to appreciate me buying or getting them a shower every day when on wind. No need for it these days IMHO, and it is certainly a LOT easier than getting one when I was running around Europe where truck stops are few and far between. Camping stove, pan full of water, wash rag and towel, is how we did it over there!
At least you would have been in the same #### state Jason, instead of a day or two away!! Mind blowing thing is, Chad was in the yard unloaded over the weekend, but the idiots wouldn't let him hook onto a blade trailer......

No reason Chad couldn't have been on that with you, they are just being babies about it.

I hope that they unload you and your (friend) so you can get outta there, and not have to wait around for that lazy clown.

The run I had the other week before we met it was 3 days on the rte. we had. Well we showered Sun, and then stuck in hole in the wall spots. Wens. evening I grabbed the water jugs and wash washing my hair and body parts outside by the trl and my wife was in the trk. with the wash rag cleaning. The shower at the Rio Thurs. was great.

Martin, I would really hate to get in that other drivers trk. Bet it sure smells sweet inside. Not

I really need to book my ticket home..
I've been on Youtube listening to about every version of a Passage to Bangkok by Rush...
I know what the song is about and that is reminding of the years long ago.
Thank goodness for Randoms or I might have a relapse...
