Waited too long to sign on to Schneider. They are not taking any new lease operators out of Maine. Doesn't matter that I don't want to run here, want to run the Midwest and Southern part of the country. Oh well, maybe later. Still gonna keep following all the fun you guys are having.

Got home LATE last night. Really nothing exciting to report, picked my load up in Carlisle and went back to the OC for the night on Monday (didn't want to put a full tank of fuel on that pay period for loads on the next period) and left Tuesday afternoon. Timing was pretty good and it was quiet almost all the way down to NC with only a little delay merging on to 95 from 17.

I'll be taking a bit more time off then usual now, I was out for a while and I have a lot of stuff I need to get done to the truck. I've been noticing a vibration over the past few weeks but was unable to find where it was coming from. I finally found it, I was just parking on top of it EVERY time I got out to look LOL. My passenger side steer tire has developed some big flat spots on it, they are pretty darn bad so it needs to be replaced. I'm not sure what the cause of it is yet, maybe a wheel bearing, or maybe lost a weight off the tire and it went out of balance, or maybe its JUST DONE GONE BAD. If I can find ground hard enough here to put a bottle jack under my front axle I'll check the bearings myself, but it may still be just too soft here with all the rain. Anyway, I'll also get some Centramatic balancers for the front end. Heard enough good things about them to make it worth it. I'll probably look at getting tires from the Petro down in Mebane, NC, since that's not too far from me. Got to see if they have Centramatics there and what their prices are, too. If they don't have them or they're too high I'll have to order them online and look elsewhere. Still gotta do some research and find which steer tires I want to purchase, too.

Need to service my APU too. I'll try to make a video of this as it really isn't hard and an easy way to save some big money over taking it to a shop and paying them to do it. All of the filters you can get from a local auto parts store. Well, maybe not the inline fuel filter - I'll try though, would be real nice if they do have them there.

Anyway, along with lots of other little things I need to get done it'll be plenty to keep me busy. Glad to have a little break from the truck too, seems like its been quite a while since I've been home.

I have a pair of centrimatics. I have gotten as much as 221k miles on a pair of steer tires. It seems that a shake and uneven wear is usually a balance issue. I also discovered that some people can't balance tires or have a defective machine.

in inline fuel filter on the tripack causes drivers more problems
    then anything
one must be careful even a small kink in the line restricts fuel flow

Since you don't have a trailer, can you run the old fronts out on the drives ? Seems a shame to turn them in for a casing credit........
