That's the opinion of a good friend and former coworker I had at Walmart with nearly 30 years with the company, most of that dealing with the drivers.

The ones I dealt with seemed a bit arrogant and entitled when they made drops. Really changed my opinion of them as I had always thought they set the standard of professional drivers.

Not all of us have forgotten where we came from and develop an arrogant attitude, but you do pose a valid point as I have witnessed it among quite a few fellow Walmart drivers. I prefer to remain humble, professional, polite and helpful to others. :)

    Lonesome and PackRatTDI Thank this.

Mostly done at home domicile DC, as they all have a repair shop, unless it is a repair that cannot wait, such as a breakdown, flat tie, etc., then it would be repaired out on the road. I give Walmart credit for doing an exceptional job of maintaining the trucks so as to prevent a breakdown. Our CSA score for vehicle maintenance is currently 4.6% which accurately reflects the condition of our trucks.

Some of the issues were really the fault of the distribution center dispatch or the company changing procedures and not telling us at the end. I just didn't care for the way many of the Walmart fleet drivers treated those of us in receiving.

I figure at a dealership since their trucks will still be under warranty.

I prefer to be helpful, smile, and be a positive influence. A lot of folks working at the stores, especially in receiving, are younger, so I prefer to be like a mentor to them. My wife and I also own a business that provides care for children and adults with special needs, so that experience keeps me well grounded and very patient with people in general.
