For those that have smart phones. Get the app truxkers path. It will show walmarts and once you click it and the little I for info it will say overnight parking yes or no. Also will give a number to call in advance.

Most stores will not bother you, at least not the ones I know in the Texas/Oklahoma area. Really comes down to who the store manager is. They can enforce or not enforce no truck parking at their discretion. Best to park at the far end of the lot, furthest from the store entrance, and talk to the onsite security when parking at a store. If they know you are parked and sleeping in your truck, they will make sure no one bothers you.

Parking at most stores in the Dallas area is a different story. Due to city noise ordinances and overnight parking restrictions, even Walmart trucks do not park at these stores. Your truck will be towed and you will be assessed a huge fine before you will get your truck back.

Our local Wal-Mart has signs saying no truck parking but always has several trucks parked there. When my bf is thinking of parking at a Wal-Mart one of us always calls ahead and asks if trucks are allowed. One I called was actually apologetic when he said no. They were getting lot lizards hanging out so had to stop the truck parking.

Most of the walmarts I've stayed at never gave me any hassle, I can only remember 1 time that I was told to leave, but then again I don't stay there too much unless I need stuff, AND I'm out of driving time, or there is nothing else around. It is nice to get a change of scenery, the ol piss lots are full of nothing but danger(idiots that back into your mirror)

Have seen large luxury motorhomes leave a disgusting mess in more than 1 Walmart parking lot over the years that a trucker was likely blamed for , but a lot of so called truck drivers have not helped the cause either from what they left behind , and its not just Walmart banning trucks

Went to Wal Mart in my personal vehicle over the weekend. I picked up two bags of trash and a piss bottle to be a good neighbor. I never have to overnight at Wal Mart, but I'd hate for the drivers that do to have one less option.

I don't avoid them. They let me get cash at zero fee. I shop for food and cleaning materials. I leave no sign of my presence. I park in out of the traffic flow areas. I am quiet. Unfortunately, I'm only one driver. This theme closely resembles others in mass society. Like laws. There's a lot more good people than bad people, but we need laws to control the few, so the majority gets regulations. Guns are a good example. All the gun laws imaginable won't stop bad guys from getting and using guns. The good people don't need the laws, but will see higher prices and more regulations because of the few who do. Those parking lots at WalMart? The idiots are making it a negative situation for everyone, especially for the drivers who are doing their best to be professional - and that includes responsibility for actions and consideration for the others. Well, it might be worse for those poor folks who have to do the cleanup because it's the only job they can get. Yow. Compared to that, the Greeter has it made.
