I was told to get a Cobra 29. They are on sale at Pilot for $89.99 after $20 mail-in rebate.
I figure they are good for road conditions, traffic, saying hello, and shippers.
Thoughts?!
Should I Get A CB Radio?

Can't go wrong with a good old Cobra 29, go for it.
-
CB comes in very handy at times and the Cobra 29 / Weather Band is a decent radio
-
I don't have one

Good for you and does your world still go around ?

You need a radio especially if you pull reefer. A lot of places will ONLY call out on a radio to bring you in to a door. Cobra 29 is and has long been the go-to radio that suits all except the driver who wants everyone in the county to hear them talk about things few care about.

If you end up in a new freightliner (and you very well may), you will not need to spend any serious money on a higher end radio unless you're prepared to add REAL antennas to the truck. Otherwise you may as well be using a morse-code device through the factory "antenna".

You are better off not listening to that crap Super TruckNuts is talking over the CB. It's distracting. Just get some nice podcasts to listen to
