I've been with them for over 1.5 years. I don't run hard like some drivers. I grossed over $210,000. Took home $96,000. This year I have plans to hire a driver. I must also add that Bridger is not for everybody. This is grown man's business. Meaning you are going to have to work to get paid. Some guys quit after 5-7 days, because there stuck in a company driver frame of mind. Cry baby's are not allowed. I try to gross $1000 a day(however currently it's $900 a day). I fuel up($450) run two days ($1800). Profit $1350. Averaging $650 a profit. You make your own schedule. I currently run 6 days on 2 days off. But like I say, this job is not for everybody. The weak minded(no pun intended) will fail. Truck, Trailor (tanker),permits, insurance, ect payment per month is $5700. Work a month get paid at the end of the following month.

Do you Have to be a company driver first before you can do a lease program?

Good post with some good info. But, I think there is an unintended misrepresentation. The $1800 for 2 days minus $450 in fuel does NOT leave a $650/day profit (its actually $675/day). Out of that $675/day, there will be the lease payment, any repair expenses, tires, any expenses not covered by the lease agreement and/or warranty. My calculator tells me that the lease payment itself comes out to about $237/day when working 6on/2off.

Not trying to beat up "just g p". I just know that some who read these forums may not pick up on that.

I do see some positives to the lease program...and I have NEVER wanted anything to do with a lease program. But, all in all, its doable if they can keep you busy at good rates.

Just g p.... is there a maintenence fund included in the $5700/mo? If so, hopefully it would cover everything outside of the lease payment. At least that's the idea. Any particular truck could break out of that and cost you more or less than expected.

All these Bridger numbers seem low to me. Maybe it's just me...smh.
check with Itl or trade star or great northern trucking or stateliness or diamond b or Hoffman and there are many others to check with.
Mo have seen much larger take home checks then what u guys listed here. 7-10 a week after fuel and plates and trailer payments. But those guys owned their own trucks and had separate loans for those that were not tied to the oil companies they leased to.

just call those companies and see for yourself. Don't take my word for it. But like I said that just seems low to me personally. I could be wrong.

Btw when I was a company driver I grossed 90 a year haulin oil. And I didn't deal with anything. Just drive and haul oil. And the place I'm at now hauling sand the company guys made 100-130 last year gross. And that's company guys working 4 weeks on and 1 off with a free plane ticket back and forth to their house. That's part of the pay plan.
So that's why I say netting 90 a year and having all the head ache of an oo seems very low to me.

I headed back to Louisiana last week, got an offer to drive for a Bridger O/O who I've known for years. Pay is good and I'll be home every other night. Flying to Midland Sunday for orientation for a few days. Not entirely sure what this is going to wind up being, if it's a short term deal that doesn't work out I have another offer down here that pays close but has me home daily. Either way it's good to be back at the house.

It's low, definitely could have better rates. Talked to another Owner Operator whose leased onto another company and he's getting $760 for the same load. After hearing this. It was so depressin that we lost 5 drivers this week, with more anticipated. I'm trying to hang in there, but with these other drivers flaunting there big checks it can be very depressing.

Yeah but it's been a good ride....and we'll ride again, soon. Saw a bumper sticker I thought funny and true, it read " Please lord, let there be another oil boom......I promise I won't blow it all next time" lol
