Paso Robles California its freaking beautiful here!!!! Heavy paper rolls from Ontario to salinas ca ... Swifts not the only one having a hard time finding freight!!! My dispatcher asked me how I felt just working in Cali until he can get me outbound so I said sure better than sitting traffics horrible everywhere even middle of the day and my god those two truck stops are soooo busy that I bailed on scaling and fuel and went to the little truck stop truck wash (sisters) in Fontana to get both.... Memories memories it's the one around the corner from the old swift terminal on Fontana

I didn't notice what town I'm in but it is south of Rochelle, IL on I-35, at the Road Ranger.
I arrived here at 2245 and there was one space open over in the corner behind the scale.

This morning I woke up for my 0600 PTA but no pplan. I found out a bit later that I was still on hold for my physical, which was finished yesterday morning and should have been cleared by Phoenix yesterday.
One of the girls behind the window faxed it again and let me know when I was good to go.

My first pplan was not possible. Even looking at that stupid short-timed excuse for a trip plan I would have been over an hour late. I used mac 9 to push out the delivery 4 hours and it was removed.
I didn't want a Coke load out of Eagan anyway.

Another came along shortly that was better in every respect.
An earlier pick up with more mt miles, more loaded miles and less weight, drop and hook at both ends.
Over 900 miles going to Ripley, MS, delivering tomorrow night.
That is good since I had zero miles this week between home time and shop/physical time.
It's also bad because it is in the middle of nowhere and I'll have a hard time finding a place to park at 2300.

Moose , there's a few on US-78/I-22 about 20 miles south including a Pilot in New Albany . You'll probably get an Ashley load out of Ecru , MS going to Mesquite , TX out of that area .

    Moosetek13 Thanks this.

Choctaw Casino. Was planning on getting to Big Cabin tonight since had 5.5 hours left after getting loaded, but then I-20 shut down just past I-45 due to accident with fatality so everyone is getting routed off I-45 South and get back on 45 north. Then now in the middle of rush hour so as usual US-75 was also fun. DM tells me today that he his working with the planner getting me a load up there going to Laredo for the weekend. Let me be pessimistic and say that I do not see it happening. There is also another O/O that is delivering same time as me same place and he is a Mentor with a student, so I am pretty sure that I will not get it.

After dropping my load I had just enough time to get back to US-72 to a little place, with 2 minutes left on my 11 when I got here.
I didn't notice as I went in that it is all torn up with construction, I just noticed it was very small and there were 2 trucks parked along the side. I figured that I would never get another trailer in here so I bobtailed out of Ashley.
Hopefully it won't be a problem in the morning.

Hopefully I will get an Ashley load out of there so I can just bt back.

Sitting here taking a break and send in a message asking how it looks for tomorrow and get a reply, planners are not currently planning trucks that are running now.

Lancaster, woke up feeling nauseous and worse with hot & cold spells. So hungry, but I know it won't stay down.

Yup, an Ashley load out of Ripley going to Mesquite, TX. A whole 10.5k, which is nice.
Also very nice to not have to worry about getting an mt.

The pplan said to deliver tonight at 2230.
I didn't like the odds of finding parking around there that late at night so I called ECT to get the real delivery window. Turns out it can deliver anytime up until Sunday at midnight.
So I'll deliver it tomorrow some time before noon.

Litchfield, IL. No pplan. Nothing on Mac 30. My Laredo load, bye bye as of now. DM says trying to get me something decent for the weekend. Sorry, but I am no optimistic.
