All you have to do is sit and watch rates on loads in Laredo and other places drop daily from $1.50 down to something like 0.60 to know there are games being played. No way that drop and hook freight, sitting on our yard, can magically change like that. Those loads were booked at a rate before they got to our yard, always wondered what the behind the scenes reason was for those rate changes were.

Consider the possibilty that this freight is designed to weed out those who should have never gotten behind the wheel of a lease truck.

I've been told on the IC side they are changing the policy on removing loads from IC's even if it's more than 24 hours before pick up.

Its what I've heard so we shall see.

    I was told this too.
Funny how they TRY to change the way things work.
Contract states we have up to 24 hours to come off a load without a reason.
We make mistakes and things happen..no way we HAVE to haul a load if we don't want too..within reason.

So when I finally got my mt this morning, I noticed the abs light failed to come on at power up. Since I was delayed enough I wasnt gonna make it home (would have been tight regardless but doable) I chose to stop in Carlisle to get it checked instead the shop in Obetz where I am dropping as a relay.

Bad wiring harness. Took 90ish minutes from entry to exit. Repair completed.

Will still be an hour early on eta. AND I get Starbucks in the morning!!!
