Percentage on its own doesn't mean more money. Lots of percentage pay carriers out there with absolutely garbage freight rates.

I don't have personal experience with them, but from what the majority of the posts about their rates are on ttr, I'd say you are one of the few over there doing good.

I have yet to figure out how NOT to make money rhere. Are there crap loads? A TON in fact. Idiots will take them though and then cry because they went broke. It is all about knowing your numbers. Taking a bad one occasionally to get that good one is fine, but I have seen guys consistently book for less than 1.00 a mile and wonder why they fail.

I'm not leased to Mercer or LS, I just make my 1 trip to LA & back.

Average between 850-1000 miles a week, depending on the number of picks and where they are located.

I read some guy saying how to make lease purchase work was to only take 2 days a month at home. Heck I only worke 2 days in January and 2 days in February. Low overhead and good freight make a good combo.

Those of us not quite old enough to have served in the civil war will get there. You had a head start of a couple decades. That's an unfair advantage that we need to get the govt to fix!

I normally work M-F and will come in on Thursday when feasible. Occasionally I will leave out on Sun night, if I loaded on Fri and it's not oversize, then I can kick it off 1st thing Mon Morn.
