That's what I'm hearing as well... lunch at the yards this Saturday and the big pow wow next Saturday... guess I will miss a free hamburger, again...

And yes, I can't imagine having all 400+ Big Green Machines in Richmond at the same time let alone one meeting place.

@all ... Have they done this type of meeting in the past? Obviously can't all park in any one location, or can we? Is the museum that big? Seating and Parking? The yard can't hold us all and shuttle everyone there, can it?

I will certainly be interested in just how the logistics play out next week.

Might be down right entertaining.

I finally got to use my TWIC card today. Flashed that sucker no less than three times!.

Laugh if you want, it felt good having it when needed. Other drivers at the shipper without one had to fork out $50 for an escort...and no, it wasn't *that* kind of escort.

 

There will be catered BBQ at the museum meeting.

I have seen pics of a cookout type deal at the yard so they have had similar in the past.

The last driver appreciation soiree I attended was at a UPS maintenance facility. Martin Brower donated a case of burger patties (probably a damaged McDonald's reject) and the shop mechanics were grilling them over a smoldering busted up pallet. Yeah, I had one and I asked for extra carcinogens on it too.

 

Darn cause that would be as big a deal as JB got on his electrical... LOL

Where were you that required a TWIC? Been thinking about getting one myself but wasn't sure where it would come into play.

 

And for all these companies wanting to see our drivers licenses, could a TWIC be used for them as an acceptable form of ID?

 

But those "cook out" events have been optional and split up between the different yards... so this meeting is mandatory and all one location.

Someone have one of those drones? I would love some photos from a sky rig of all the green trucks.

 

Would think it should as it requires security and backround checks

Ya may have a bit of trouble getting a clear backround check if the powers to be talk to Ur fellow drivers here....sometimes the deserved respect seems to be missing jk

They're attempting to get ALL of U to Richmond at once, that sounds impossible

Must be a pretty important meeting to get everyone there, that kinda is scary
