Engine fan won't shut off 99 379 w/ a 60 series

    I am pretty sure that is going to be your issue. The ECM programming.

    I am going to ask the detroit shop about that tomorrow. Hopefully I can change that with my software. If not, I'm sure they'll help me out $$! Thanks guys for the advice!!!

    Silly question, but didn't see anyone else ask. Do you have a manual fan switch on the dash to turn the fan on? If so, did you check it, or the wires to it, aren't shorted?

    Yes sir, that was the first thing I tested. I am gonna work on a resolution tomorrow, I'll post when I have an update.

    Which wire particular? In the rear there is OEM connector plug on the low then there's plug in the middle and on the top is power supply plug. which one is that wire?

    I just changed ecm ddec3 for ddec4. I'm having Freightliner Fld 12.7 Detroit. My fan clutch is always on and fan clutch switch from cabin won't react as well. Is it possible that they didnt reprogramed correctly ddec4 to work for ddec3 truck?
