Thanks for that, Lepton. Yeah I would go back there if it paid at least $3/mi and light load. But I'd rather not go all the way to Seattle area. Spokane I would. Parking sucks past Snoqualmie.

Problem with Montana is it's a huge state, population is spread out, not much freight and a lot of deadhead. If you take a load there, I'd suggest it only be a place close to the interstate. Don't go up into BFE. Not only will you probably lose a day, but who knows what kind of lunatics live up there in the absolute middle of nowhere. That's Unibomber Land right there. Might get sucked into some religious cult that worships a giant statue of Yosemite Sam or something.

Talk about creepy places, go out into the middle of nowhere Nebraska. Children of the Corn . Yeah screw that place.

I'm really, really starting to get sick and tired of waiting and waiting to load and unload.

Monday's load near home took 45 mins. Unload Tuesday took almost 3 hours. Reload 12 miles away took 3 hours. Today's unload took 2.5 hours. Today's reload took 3 hours, after being told it takes 45 mins. So much for delivering on time at 8 am on a 350 (285) mile run. $1150 though. Chatsworth, GA to N. Wilkesboro, NC. XPO trying to pawn them off for $750. Light load of carpet. If you're down by that way just beware. God I hope my unload goes quick and that I can get a quick reload toward memphis for Friday.

Wait until the ELD logging kicks in, those 3 and 4 hr. wait times will add another day or two away from the house. The rules and policies only change for the drives never the shippers or receivers problem.

That's just part of the reefer world. Just wait till you spend more than 24 hours at a produce shed in the middle of a field. Or a beef or pork plant waiting on the usda to sign off on your load before you can go. One of the beautiful things about open deck is you you practically entirely eliminate those extended load and unload times. I'm almost always unloaded faster than i can get my gear put away.

You should see our statue of Foghorn Leghorn.

By the way, the lunatics live in cities where the houses are so close the neighbor has a cigarette after you and the old lady are finished.

Tried to hit the jackpot in Tupelo yesterday. Seemed slow. Lots of furniture loads but I guess they didn't have to ship.

Ended up getting a 600 mile run to a Wal Mart DC in IL for $1950, deliver Sunday.

Sure it's a good rate, but I was looking for at least $2800 somewhere without having to go to PA or worse. :(

Puts me only at $6150 for the week on about 2500 all mi.

I need $124,500 more gross for the year to hit my goal. Gonna be tough if I can't eke out some more $7000+ weeks.

If your going to the Walmart DC in Olney, IL. The red rooster truck stop is a decent place to stay. Right down the road from D.C. Good biscuits and gravy and hash browns. Try to get there early, cause it will fill up fast.
