My students were able to request a manual and tested in a manual. They both came out of Memphis.

Your training is 200 hrs of driving. Pthe amount of timr it takes depends how long you can stay in that seat. The first 50 hrs the trainer will be seating next to you. In that 50 hrs you will be doing ehat called super solo. You drive yout 11 hrs ( hopefully. Depends on load you are on) then trainer might drive a few more hours.

Glad you've finally set your sights on a company; didn't see you anymore on the other thread. I really have nothing bad to say about Swift; I've never driven for them, but many men "ON HERE" have gotten their roots started thataway.

Best of luck to you... just DON'T get the "auto only" restriction on your license...... say you were issued an auto, going solo, broke down somewhere and they wanted to bus you or fly you to pick up a truck while yours was in the shop, for some extra money to tide over the break down time.. you wouldn't be able to. Something to consider; it's happened to a few guys, unfortunately.
