if not you should. you won't know if you have an air leak if you don't
it seems like every time i forget to push in the trlr supply before PTI i end up with a trlr with an air leak. this time it is coming from where the auto-inflate comes out of the hub!!
do you supply air to your trailer before pre-triping it?

I always do.
-
Always, and with air suspension, you need to make sure it airs up as well.
-
I try to make sure I always do this, but I have forgotten on an occasion or two.
As I recall, all brakes are supposed to be released to do a proper PTI aren't they?
Mind you I don't think I've ever chocked the wheels and crawled under the truck like is done during a level 1 DOT inspection, but that's what the law says we're supposed to do.

If y'all don't supply air to the trailer BEFORE pre-trippin' it,
you should DURING pre-trippin' it.
If y'all supply air to the trailer AFTER pre-trippin' it,
y'all didn't do a proper pre-trip.
25(2)+2 is correct about air-suspension/air-ride.
If there's a problem with the leveler valve, y'all need to
know that right away.
If it's not workin' correctly, your trailer will be a-leanin'
to one side. And that'll get'cha an out-of-service.
And don't forget to DRAIN THE CONDENSATION outta
the air tank(s).

My trailer is always aired up. I generally do not pull the red knob unless I need to drop my trailer.
-
i neither. some older trailers take FOREVER to air up
-
Same here ... it saves on frozen trailer brake aggravation.
-
Especially if y'all are pullin' a multi-axle lowboy trailer.
-
Yep, same here.
