The truck operator is "Tli-Cho Landtran". You need to talk to them to get a job. Google them and go to their careers page.
You will also need that Canadian work visa.
Good luck and stay dry!

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

This thread is making me cold!
Is money really worth it???
I get the whole adventure aspect of it... It just seems to me you can get the same high Ice fishing or simply riding a snowmobile over a lake...lol -
RTL and Ventures West are the two fuel carriers on the ice road and I am pretty sure RTL does freight as well.
-
#### I've called every # I can find and nobody is hiring for the ice roads. oh well I guess I need to start looking in the states for a good co. thanks for the info guys. now if you know a good co. to work for let me know. but I don't want to work for a large co. like swift JB. or any like that.

Last time I drove something big on the ice, It broke through! Forget it, Water is cold at -40
-
Perhaps. I once had to run a snowmobile across a 200 ft stress crack in the ice. That mean's open water. It's an adventure and it leaves a neat little pinch mark on the seat.
-
Water is ICE at -40.
-
Yes, but if you get dunked in the water under the ice, manage to get back out, you will be very very cold!
-
Ice is water in a solid state. and air at -40 makes a person with liquid water on them have it turn to solid very fast. LOL.... Naw, I'll stay on the roads and off the ice
-
No problem, we always let the Americans take the first run of the season...
to see if the ice is thick enough yet.
Lilbit Thanks this.
