What difference does that make? We all have the same rules.

I took a 2400 mile round trip in my car a couple weeks ago.

Driving at 80mph and was barely passing big trucks.

Big trucks are hauling ### out there now. Saying otherwise, you have your head in the sand.

Speed limit mandate will be next eventually.

Plus, most everybody is cheating on ELDs anyway. Cheating on their on-duty, off-duty time when loading and unloading, plus the 30 minute break.

    Bunch of outlaws, everybody. LOL

To the guys that post " nobody is making u run faster etc." you seem to believe that just because it works for u it should be the same for everyone, if you are that self centered then there it's pointless to reason with someone of your ignorance. Personally I can make it work with ELDs but I don't like it, it puts me under pressure somtimes and I have certain deliveries that if I'm late they reschedule a day or two later so now I have to sit on the load and make no money. It's easy for somebody to sit there and say well just don't do those loads but anyone with any intelligence can see that ain't reality. So people like u are a big part of the problem , must also think the ata is the real truckers friend

You all do know its illegal for a company to put times on loads that make it impossible to make outside of speed limit and hos limitations, right?

I am one of those that said it cant make you run faster.

What I did not say was that it should be forced on anyone. If you want eld, fine, get one. Give a tax break to those truckers that get them. If you dont want that is fine as well. No one should be forced to have them.

Now, I would ask you, since you are putting words in my mouth, would you kindly point to the words I said that would lead you to the conclusion that I believe everyone should be forced to have an eld?

I think you'll find what most are talking about running the speed limit when it's 70 or 75 instead of running 60 or 65. Along with pushing harder trying in congested areas

I drive faster (where legal) to account for a possible loss of time when I get to i94 in Michigan...where it snows often and delays going through there are common. If I can breach Canada I get 2 extra hours of driving which means I can go through the house rather than drive by it.

I agree, been on e-logs for years now. And yes, I do push it harder than I'd like sometimes. But many times, its due to poor planning on my part.

I'm not suggesting don't haul those load, I suggest working with them so you have the time you needed to get there without running harder. Is there a reason you can't make arrangements when your accepting the load to deliver a few hours later?
