Im not usually identified with the die hard worker. I tent to do the things I enjoy hardcore, but when it comes to my job, I like to do what I am required to do, do a good job, put in my time, but yet not go above and beyond .
I do not like working 11hrs a day at the minimum everyday. Before I started driving I worked 10hrs a day, 4 or 5 days a week.
I enjoy having a little free time to myself every day, I even enjoy having full days to do what I want.
I was just wondering if there are any companies that are very laid back, yet pay quite well?
Im not looking for a gift horse, but I do understand that there are companies that move freight, and are not always in a rush and pay well. I just never heard anyone drop the names of any of these companies.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
Know of any OTR jobs that fit me?

And here is the problem I see with todays soceity. "What is the least I can do to get the most." Forget working and knowing you earned what you have.

"Yes while you're at it can you add about 3 more zeros onto the end of the check. After all, I feel that since I am picking how and when I want to work I should dictate my payrate as well."

I'm reminded of a TV show from years ago . . . "Welcome to Fantasy Island".
Trucking is workin, and there are no two ways about that. You put in long hours, get little pay, and don't have free time. Even when you are home, you're making the most of your family time, doing laundry, and other things that don't get done for weeks on end.
Even in local gigs, the hours are long and hard. Been there done that! -
