I just put a switch on mine today, I have an acert c15, It is the green wire on the front plug, and the pink on the back side, they are on the same location on the plugs just different colors for some reason. I patched in on the power harness so you don't have to mess with the factory wiring..

You do splice in before the resistor, It is the same wire on mine, same position on the plug, Just two different colors coming in and going out.

I know it sound confusing, on my factory plug the colors are not the same from the male side to the female side. on the male side it is the green wire, and the red on the female side, but they are on the same location on the plug..

i see that on mine what i mean is if you splice into the wire to a switch in one position it would be like un hooking the wire.you have two wires goin to the switch where do you splice into the wire with the resister both on each side or what? thanks

05379, that is what I thought it would be like disconnecting the wire, but it works, That is the way my local cat shop showed me how to do it, switch on, lots of smoke, switch off no smoke. I think on the power harness thread, someone made a diagram, on how to make it..
