    I would be pissed. I get mad and express it when I don’t have a 650 mile run @ the least. Where’s uber for these 299 mile runs?? OTR or regional OTR... sometimes I don’t get it.

    With all this talk about freight season.All Im moving is dog food and pop tarts.
    I ended up biting my tongue ,and filed it as “worst week ever”.Im going to start turning them down.

    Don't just accept it and stress up until you explode. Make sure your asset manager knows that you don't have a problem taking short loads every now and then, but you don't want to take them constantly.

    Politely explain that you have had a couple short runs, and want some loads with miles on them, please.

    It really does work most of the time, provided that you aren't frequently delivering late or otherwise screwing up loads.

    The ladies and gentlemen working behind the scenes have no problem poking the planners for better loads for you. Part of what THEIR BOSSES look for is how many miles per month their drivers are getting,
