It's failed. Removing it won't fix it.

    You must REPLACE the sensor.

    No.

They are literally made on the same line with 100% the exact same parts.

Try having yours reset first. Relearning shifts.

They have...they are leaning towards either some of the pneumatic cylinders being bad or air valves...possibly the whole transmission being removed and replaced. They say they have a 750k mile warranty on it, so replacing it with a reman unit might solve my problems.

They said it is the Switch on the Battery, I just replaced that Test drove it and it worked better

So here is something a lot of people dont know about a problem with this ishifts, the wire harness has speed sensors build in it, most of the time the solder joints go out, PROBLEM with this is that this wire harness is internal and if you want to replace it you have to drop down trans and take apart the shifter assy on top with TCU board, to do this need volvo software and breakout wires in order to calibrate the trans, other possibility could be the main bearing in the input shaft going bad but not very likely it is this. most likely with the miles its the breach harness you have to take it somewhere were they really know these transmissions not very many shop most of the time ends up being the dealer,

Do you think the battery power switch could have caused this too?

I have seen various codes before from transmission being that it is not getting enough power usually shifting codes not really speed sensor faults, but being these trucks are so electronic dependant. it could be very well possible.

Drove the truck 25 miles after changing the Battery switch, same thing “check transmission”.. i am hoping this speed sensor is the issue. How long is the labor?

depends on who does it, you have to drop out the trans i will suggest that instead of just harness replace whole shifter housing being that it is only about 400 more than the harness. but labor i dont know what they will charge thinking at least 10hrs to r&R trans and than probably 3 or 4 to open up and close it but i dont know i usually charge about 13 hrs for this job that being said once you do it couple of times its a lot quicker.

So is the Harness seperate from the actuall speed sensor? and does the sensor need to be changed with the harness? Also, what is the actually part called for the Shifter Housing
