Only seen a couple of empty seats in the place. Must of been an allusion? Place was rockin!
Sorry for your loss.
@ShooterK2 happy birthday!
My father in law still gives me a “$5 check” in my birthday card and I’m almost 50. If I don’t cash it he gets all bent out of shape.
Lol
Where is everyone #5

Hopefully...
I’m using a three tarp system. Similar to what I’m used to at Melton. I swear these tarps are lighter though. The d rings are offset on the rows and I believe the rows are further apart?
I think the ends are only 60-70 pounds... the middle is maybe 60. Wonder if the thickness is different. Super light compared to the heavy ##### I had at Melton...BigCam9670, PoleCrusher, cke and 12 others Thank this. -

I don't know what happened to them, they haven't popped up anywhere I'm aware of. I still have some friends in the business, mostly magazine editors so I'll ask next time I talk to one of them. (And yes, there are still these picture books made of paper called magazines)

Been to Werner Cycles a few times back before Victory(Polaris) decided the world need more underwhelming, push rod, vintage styled Indian motorcycles. Had 3 Victory's and hands down they were great bikes. It's unfortunate that Polaris lost focus once the Indian purchase was made. As far as OCC goes they had a new show out earlier this year and Jr. was in a different building but Sr. was in the same building, so maybe they came out from the bankruptcy without losing everything??? Big Dog is back in business but not sure if it's under same ownership or not. The motorcycle market is a tough nut to crack the last couple of years for sure.

I had a International tractor on going to the Case IH dealer there just east of town, I'm sure you know where that is, then I went across the road to some warehouse and picked up a machine.
Been 2 or 3 years, but that's the way I remember it. Does that ring a bell? -
Can't comment on OCC, they made junk, albeit pretty, it was junk.
Big Dog on the other hand, yes they are back in business. However "they" are not the old Big Dog. Matt Moore was one of the dealer reps at the original Big Dig, Jason was head of R&D. They both stayed with Sheldon till the last time the lights were turned off. Matt went across town to a little building and started Kansas Motorcycle Works for the sole purpose of continuing support for the 30k + Big Dogs on the road. A couple of the dealers in Europe asked Matt to build some bikes for them to continue to sell as Big Dogs overseas which is legal and didn't cause any product liability issues with the current Big Dog brand in bankruptcy. Jason and some of the others from Big Dog started building copies of the last model K9 with the 300 rear tire and shipping to a couple dealers in Europe. They were also supplying parts for domestic bikes.
Once the bankruptcy was over, Matt struck a deal with Sheldon and the bank to purchase the remaining assets of Big Dog, the name and intellectual rights then began production again under the Big Dog name. However they aren't just mass producing bikes, they're hand building them one at a time as they are ordered. Matt may have a couple in inventory from time to time but for the most part Brandon builds a frame, Jason builds the mechanical part of the bike and they have a couple of the old painters doing tins.
I visit the shop just about every time I'm in Wichita and they're doing good, albeit very small in comparison to what BD was when we were 450 people cranking out over 3000 bikes a year.
