Does Mclane have you take another physical when they hire you?

I am in school and already have a valid medical card. I'm going to apply for a driver trainee position.

    Thank you foryour time.

i am not sure about that company, BUT, some companies make you take a physical agility test..

lifting, pulling, pushing.......x amount of weights, and other physical tests.....

i know for a fact, that the AAA auto club does this for thier road service people!!

thing is, no company HAS TO accept a DOT physical that you present to them. but many others do.

    good luck.

Yes you redo a physical with a hair follicle drug test. Then you’ll schedule a strength test.

Many trucking companies disregard the existing DOT Medical card you got the day before at whatever doctor even Concentra or whatever. It matters nothing to the company who will SEND you to ANOTHER doctor (Theirs) for a physical.

The only value your original 2 year DOT Medical card is your home state CDL at the DMV. Hold on to that one. Renew it prior to expiry.

LTL and food service is very physical. It makes total sense to work the applicant to see if you have heart failure or something that will prevent you to do the work day in and day out which is not as easy as holding the steering wheel. Ive done some big time truckload lumping sometimes twice a day, that's easy compared to LTL or Food service work. Thats for those who are in shape to do it.

I just recently had to do this within acouple months of my last DOT physical. Doc told me it sucks but she had a patient in less then 6 months of his last physical have a stroke. So I see why.

Health can go away just like that. *Snaps fingers. Nothing is tomorrow except death and taxes or worse. You do what you can. Strokes are not welcome because if it is bad enough you are committed to assisted living or nursing home. You can do a great deal to fight and avoid those in diet and so on. BP is your greatest asset in this fight.

The body is like a sort of machine. Everything is related and if something is not well in there nothing will come out right. If you catch it early that is your best defense.

Last I heard, these good times were being waived here. The follicle test was disqualifying too many, and the IPCS is stupid.

    Concentra
Which is where I currently am for a recert.
