I’ve had good luck with it. I’ve got mowing equipment from 2010, a Honda mower, Stihl commercial trimmers, edgers, hedge trimmer, and leaf blower. I’ve used Sta-bil in all fuel run through them and they always fire right up, even after sitting all winter.

Its well worth it. I put it in everything. I'm also sold on a battery tender. Spare semi, lawn tractor, spare pickup and harley on them. I don't buy many batteries anymore. Harley is a 08 and still only on second battery, M/C batteries never used to last. I have a 10 yearold battery in lawn tractor, used to only last two at best.

Have the 68 manual for pickups / medium duty trucks in one big 3 ring binder. Still interesting to look them at times.

Same on the Sthil, allways starts with it. Plus I quit buys cheap equipment, not worth it any part of life.

Agreed. Good commercial mowing equipment will last a homeowner a loooong time if taken care of.

I still use a 1987 Ingersoll 446. Name change from JI Case. Has a 1981 deck. No rust and made from real iron. My dad bought the 81 new then up graded to the used 87. Didnt need a new deck. I hop on it and mow my yard at the lot all summer long just like when I was a kid. Same tractor. Now the snow blower is good for moms house and the drive to the shop. To small for the yard. But it would do it. I will not get rid of it. I can't buy anything comparable or afford it.

    That’s cool.

Biggest difference between commercial and residential mowers is the deck. Heavy, fabricated decks are far superior to cheap, stamped decks. Once you hit a curb, stump, etc with a stamped deck and bend it, it never cuts right again.

I’ve put some commercial decks through some awful rough stuff, never had trouble.

You’re right, you probably couldn’t replace what you got.
