So I talked with the oncle from mz grandmother in law, he had his own trucking company! I checked in at the motel and he called me, he said don’t go with C.R. England or swift they are the worst company. He said to pay my own school and then get a job. I’m really confused
I want to be a truck driver

Right I have a school near me( Truck Driver academy 160hours for 3000$) I’m only worried that I get a job after I pass successfully because only one month of work history in the US

I know that. So is it better pay my own school and than apply? C.R. England has only automatic trucks and that sucks too

Cr England is a 100% automatic company now along with others that’s why he said automatic only. If that’s your only option u can do that and on your off time practice in a manual to get that restriction off. Company’s are starting to switch to full autos but it will still be years till all the company’s are full autos
ruckusftlc Thanks this. -
Read where Jim Palmer Trucking is now switching from 10 speed stick shifts to all automatics.
I think they still use stick shifts in their cdl school.
I pulled tankers coast to coast with an automatic and loved it. After that I didn't want anything to do with stick shifts.
