I hear ya. They should consider kicking up their trucks to 70mph full time.
I do miss their loads. Not only mileage wise but also the content. Nice frozen ones with easy pickup and delivery (mostly). Now I'm seeing the ugly side of reefer, (produce and meat) which I know holland rarely does.
Either way, it's a sacrifice I need to make for the mean time.

I'm actually having second thoughts about holland. I'm on my 5th week and no more guarantee 1200 dollars now my miles we're cut in half was getting 1800 mile loads last 3 have been under 700 . Also the appointment times make no sense I was in Atlanta got unloaded at 2 pm and was sent to a pick up with a 8am appointment so I was already late had to be worked in and don't get detention pay since I was late for the pick up and the unloaded time is for 9 am the next day. They tell you in orientation for the first 90 days your on probation. You can be fired for low miles and late lows. Guess I'm screwed

There's always other options though. But give it time. Remember it's the holidays and loads get sketchy.
I knew I was going to quit there because of the low pay which is what bugs me because they're an awesome place. Still stayed a year. Also to play devils advocate. It is mind boggling expensive to hire us and insure us.. you do get your insurance paid in full after your 2 year mark (driver only). -

Anyway. I’m home now for 7-10 days. I told Lori if she really needed me for December 31 pickup in garland or Grand Prairie I’d go if she lets me know Friday, otherwise I’ll be ready Jan 2 but I’m already over 36k for the quarter so I’m not caring one way or the other.
I’ve been running recaps the past 8 weeks at least. Last 3 pay periods have been 6,000 6,500 and 7,000 miles. Not chained yet. Karma may visit me next quarter.jeff18, UpstateFreight, JZ80 and 1 other person Thank this. -

Just wondering. I got my truck washed in Commerce City yesterday, do I need to scan the receipt in. I didn't pay for it myself, just charged it.

UpstateFreight Thanks this.
