I never once pull a load out of there. I’ve taken plenty loads in there. It’s not easy trying to find a direct lane to run on choice. On choice lanes come and go. You have to adapt with the freight. If you are trying to be home every weekend. Then choice is not for you.

I'll be in Kent, WA tomorrow and looked at Schneider's "Load My Truck" board. They only had a couple van loads posted, only one had a posted rate to Indiana. It was roughly $1.00 per mile. Mind you, that's not power only.

I'm assuming Schneider couldn't put one of their own trucks, trailer, employee with overhead cost, etc, for less than $1.60 a mile BEFORE profit.

How is that they would offer it to some independent for $1.00 per mile?

Sad thing is that some sluff will take it...

Yes we’re in the same team!! My 2016 Freightliner EVO with 428xxx miles cost between .91 and 1.09 a mile to operate. Fuel is the reason there is a little spread in there. What I am saying is the new trucks are most likely a little bit more per mile. So let’s just say $1.00 per mile so if your being paid $1.30 per mile you are bringing to the truck 30 cents per mile. That to me is worse than a company driver wages. Look at all the risk we have of owning that rig. That’s all that I am pointing out.

No news on Whipper. I miss him dearly.

Miami has great paying freight if you don't mind tarping jet engines. I'm not going to post specifics or a screen shot on a public forum but if you just call the lk2 office im sure they can tell ya what the contract rate is.

    How's that for blowing smoke?

And that's why they can offer it to an independent for such a low rate.

    Seems so.

On the contrary, I booked a van load this morning after I got empty in Kent for $1,000 on 235 miles with 1 extra drop, going right in the direction I wanted to go.

And they save it for a part time driver like yourself. We know.

How many drivers have you recruited from Schneider to come over to Mercer? Reading through this thread your quite the Mercer advocate on here... But yet on this Mercer thread you claim they need to tighten up hiring and shouldnt allow owners with less than an year experience on... So which is it? I'm guessing only good if you get your recruitment bonus... LOL...

They don't save crap. To my knowledge they all get posted to the board with the exception of the rare emergency weekend load. In that case agents will look to see who is empty in the area and start making calls. Because I'm part time i get more than my share of them due to the first empty first offered system, but that's not the same as 'saving or playing favorites'. Also doesn't hurt that i pay attention, study and keep notes. I picked up patterns and learned that x load will be hitting the boards at approximately y date so if i want it i need to be empty z days at home before it gets posted.

I haven't recruited anyone on ttr from any thread. The closest thing to 'recruiting I've done is Rstewart asked me in pm for more info and we exchanged numbers and talked a bit over several months. At one point he asked me for my unit number. I didn't solicit him. I'm willing to make myself available and give honest answers to those that specifically ask me questions, does that make me a recruiter?
