I dont understand why so many think Atlanta is such a bad city to drive in...other than the same traffic that other big metro areas have Atlanta suffers from also. but the roads are great, not tight IE plenty of room to manuver a truck unless your on Chattahootchie ave... When not in rush hour traffic moves at an above speed limit drive IE 285 Atlantas second international raceway..But I guess since I live in the area and am very used to the situation here and am very familar with the local roads...I dont see it as bad....

    NICE seatcovers in "hotlanta"!:yes2557:
main thing i hate is the single lane WB ramp onto 20W from 285S then the lane turns into exit only in 1/2 mile.
75 S inbound is usually a clusterF like most cities in the AM are inbound.
with all the construction SB on 75 that is usually a beeeeech too LOL way beter than the DC BS i had to go through today!!

To drive and not get angry in chicago you just gotta get in there mindset. Dont worry about people cutting you off and darting in an out of lanes, cause no matter what they will do it. But when in town just take what you need be it an extra lane to make a turn and just claim it like king of the hill. Trust me eventually they will move and get the hint.

The worst? Miami. The place is a crime riddled hellhole. Back in the 90s, I used to drive through Hileah and hear the bullets hitting my trailer.

Houston is like a big funneling vortex. Hard to get in and out of. I HATE NYC period. Hartford kinda has the same funnel thing going for it. Boston; I hate all things Boston, the people and their stupid accents as well as that scum hole of a city. All I gotta hear is "you're heading to Boston", and i am in an instant bad mood. They could chain off all of MA, and I would be good with it. :biggrin_25525:

I really don't mind San Diego or LA so much. Well, except maybe for the illegals rattling the trailer lock all night. That's annoying and a little scary sometimes. Cant say I care much for the low bridges in Chicago. The way in, isn't always the way out unloaded!

Did I mention I HATE Boston? Nothing good ever comes from there.

JFTR: I-75 into Atl is done. Ten years too late, but it's done. We still have morning gridlock going in; always will. You will lose 30min. over a cruise-thru. Pop in a cd.

Illegals rattling trailer locks? That IS scary...lock and load, boys.

Well if you can drive NYC and not get frustrated and wanna go Grand Theft Auto on em then I have much respect for you. I would never live anywhere near that city, way to many people and way to much city there. Now one of these days I would like to get back there, and be a tourist. But you'd never catch me there in a semi again just not worth my time.
