So in other words...stay off the road for the next 3 days after Thursday? Or pay a prohibitively expensive repair bill...

Now, do you need to pay before you take off? How exactly does it work if you don't have the thousands they demand?

Repairs have to be made roadside before you leave. Tickets work like any other.

If you can't afford it, they'll have you towed.

    I'm sitting it out.

I'm still reading up on the process of getting my authority and have a question. What's with the "safety audit" new entrants are required to do? How often are they? What's with the drug test requirement? If i'm doing exactly what you're doing Pharm, not hiring any drivers, etc. what should I expect?

####! I better sit it out too. This is ridiculous. How do they know if your brakes are good or not? Aren't brake drums supposed to have some small "spider cracks" from weathering?

So the 72 hours starts when? Thursday morning?

It's one time for sure, and then you always run the risk of a random from then on.

I'm at a loss myself. I just know it will be terrible whatever it is. All your logs compared to fuel receipts, and I'm hearing different stories as to whether bills of lading are used as well.

It happens sometime within a year of start, and that's only because they are running so far behind. This is the best info I have and I don't know what is reliable. I'm told that with OOIDA membership you can get a lot more information on it.

You do also have to use a drug-pool service so they can pull a random on you at anytime. OOIDA offers this as well for $100. I haven't signed up yet.

your preliminare audit is more of a curtisey call where they come in and make sure you have all your paperwork set up and have a method of tracking everything you are required to, make sure you have a drug testing policy etc etc

Can you say with any certainty that I CAN'T get any tickets? My logs are going to be pretty shoddy for some time periods. Totally cartoons if they pull BOL's.
