You folks are borderline for aiding and abetting...... I have the drippings from the pound of bacon I fried yesterday and 7 cubes of butter. No basic pop-tarts but the IGA is 2.5 miles round trip.......

 

been dragging a dryvan since i left the house. incredibly boring. now im shutdown for 34. sometimes i miss busting my shins with the winch bar or snapping a bungee in my face or pinching the skin off my hand in the binder. anything to get some excitment.. there is nothing to cuss at or bang on or throw to the ground in frustration with a dry van. i have been lost not knowing what to do ever since i picked it up LOL the shipper required load locks, i was excited to install them," yes i finally get to do something!!" i pulled trailer from dock and found the shipper already installed them. now i know how it feels to be treated like a dumb truck driver rather than a person. flatbed customers treat us like people, it is a big change going to some dry van warehouses. not sure how u guys do this dry van loads every single day. i think i have lost a couple IQ points due to not having to use my brain at all other than driving, makes me feel lost. i took off the auto inflators on trailer just to check the tire pressure in tires during pre trip, only so it make me feel like ive accomplished something lol im supposed to pick up a flat next week so i wont be so depressed anymore

Are you sure youre not a masochist??? Getting excitement from self inflicted pain??? All that ever did for me was make me angry... And want the day to be done.

That should give you something to work on for the next drop....... just practice in the mirror and then try it out on the waitress.

IM not sure to be honest, although u may be on the right track lol i just think i have missed the feeling of a nice tarp job or something similar..i guess just the feeling of working and tieing something down and seeing the crane pull it off at the customer while im standing there rolling up my straps. its a great feeling hard to describe. when i picked up this dry load and seen the load locks. i felt embarressed to be honest that a shipper couldnt even trust me to put a load lock on..
