You get used to it. Like I said, I've only had one legit situation where I had trouble with getting the truck where it needed to be. But that's due to the mill using a dock that was never designed for a truck. And im not talking about a dock you would back a van trailer up to. Steel mill docks are a different sort, it's basically a long tunnel that they back several trucks in at once bumper to bumper and crane load them all at the same time. This one just happened to be built for rail, not trucks. It curved the whole way back with barely enough room to open the drivers door on the left side and the raised concrete floor on the right.

I’m surprised this topic has been up this long without someone mentioning that stretched trucks compensate for something. It has to be some kind of record.

They handle the weight better and don’t get pushed around by the trailer......

And the ride even with heavy axles and suspension is nice and smooth .....

Its already been answered, heres what i was driving, set up for precast and rebar. Heavy axels and partial double frame. And id had stuff as close to that rack as it could get sometimes.

(Protip, wide loads get ever so closer when you turn. At least if its bloody double T.,,, Fortunatly i i wasnt the idiot that found that out.)
Shorter sleeper so we didnt didn to make them stupid long, but its still got more frame than most. Don't rember exact wheelbase, but i stuck out.

While I wouldn't be able to get into 99% of the deliveries I've had to do in that I would still like to use it for a day. I just think it would be great to drag a pup around with it and look like an idiot lol. Tell people how I really need this gigantic beast of a truck to drag around 25k of soda lol.

For the lulz, do it for the lulz. Serious note, i think that truck was as long as a pup. If she can handle 63k, id imagine she will pull the 25k like it dosent exist, thatd be reason enough for me;)

But it does look stupid pulling a box. Ill find a reference
