I was never notified that my medical card have expired for 5 months. I went to the dmv a couple weeks ago and got everything fixed including a new dot card everything seemed fine. Went and applied to three company’s and they all say insurance won’t qualify me. I don’t know what to do now. I have 2 1/2 years exp 1 accident in 2017 and pretty clean record from there. Any idea what I can do ?

Where is your location? If the expired medical card is the only issue, there's plenty of companies available.

Your states DMV/MVA should have mailed you warning letters alerting you to your pending licence downgrade. If you were employed by a motor carrier, the compliance/safety department would have sent you notification of your need to update your DOT card well before it expired.
Where you employed and active as a commercial driver at the time of your med cards expiration date?
If not...when was the last time you drove a commercial motor vehicle?
Being out for 5 months is not usually a valid reason for a carrier to not hire you. Drivers get sick all the time or even take a leave of absence for that length of time and are hired.
Have you reviewed your PSP report, DAC Report and your MVR record recently?
You may want to see what is on each one of those reports.BigDog Trucker Thanks this. -
I think they're saying your CDL is suspended for *another* 5 months, not that your medical card has been suspended for *the past* 5 months.
I could be wrong. That's what the wording says to me, though.
