    I thought it strange the temp was 45 after seven minutes....I never cook beef cold.... always room temperature before ya start.

    It doesn't look it, but I can slide anywhere without it pulling. If you have a longer slider and need to move your 5th wheel a lot to the extremes, you could go from the plate to carriage, it should self ground to the frame ok if it's not all new or freshly painted - mine was, and it was the only way I could get a ground to the plate without grinding off paint or welding a stud on.

    Thats a big help.
    I never thought of welding a stud on that is an option also.
