Swift =

I get that it was satire… Just not getting who it was aimed at… Me or Swift. But whatever.

 

Swift isn't going anywhere. You know why? If you leave by this time next week they will have replaced you with 10 others.

 

And that's why they just got bought out by a company a quarter their size. They play a very short-term game and they aren't always motivated by doing the right thing.

 

I heard Swift and Knight are rubbing elbows now, but I figured it was Swift that did the buying.

Knight bought Swift? Now, that's funny if that's true. Lol

 

Hey guys, this is just a "reuniting" of family. They started off as one company many years ago, then for whatever reason part of the family split off to start another company.
Just another big Mormon family, united to make money in any way they can.

 

How does 1 get into this industry and not know about Swift? I dont get it

 

All megas suck. Their goal is making as much money as possible to please investors and fill their pockets. Drivers are their lowest concern. All they want you to do is get that load on time and not crash the truck. They don't care that you're tired, they don't care about your family, they couldn't give a rat's ### about your well being. That said, most people just go in to get their experience and run off. It's all about sucking it up doing your time and finding a better job later.

 

The biggest problem, I believe, is that people who have never had military or similar training, don't know how to deal with adversity. No matter how old a person is, unless they have experienced in your face adversity, you don't know how to shrug it off. You don't know enough to be able to say "yes sir'" or "no sir," when what you really want to say, is, "kiss an ice blue hog's rosey red arse. Sir."

 

Wow...you have two different threads written about a month apart with almost the exact same opening statement. Don't think I've ever seen that before...
