Load weights are much heavier than in the US, and depends on what you are permited for, but I doubt you would need to worry about that, if you are coming from the US you would only be allowed to haul 80,000 anyway, and same for going back to the US.

Not sure which border you would be crossing at but if it is one of the bridges there is a toll, not sure how much it is as I have a card for them. I believe the bridge from buffalo to ft. erie was about $33 cdn. and they take EZpass, the others do not. You would need a passport to get back into the US, it is required now. I think they still charge $10 or something like that going back to the US unless you have one of those decals.

If you are crossing at the Ambassador Bridge ( Detroit-Windsor ) it is by weight max is $22.50 I believe. And crossing at The Bluewater ( Port Huron- Sarnia ) is by axle and is $8.75 US. Coming back into the States the US Customs Fee is $10.75 US only and you need to have a passport. 80,000 gross max unless permited heavy but allowed more on drive and trailer axles (36,000) as long as 80,000 or under. I hope this has answered some of your ?`s. :)

your gross weigh listed in cad card.
    axel weigh 12200 steer
ontario, quebec(non-shaw period), atlantic canada - 39600 tandems
    western canada - 37500 tandem.

if you picking 45000 in detroit you should not worry about axel weight.

wheel base limited to 244 inch

ontario scales worth scales in north america. first level inspection cover asolutly everything. usually no fines issued for truck OOS, but requre to fix on site or will remove plates

they always can find something to fix.
