Hey, @Lysdexis. Just got back from a little stroll around from the other side of town. The "puppet show "is a success ! ....got those puppets dancing on the end of my strings perfectly !!

There’s a guy here in SC that had a cracked tridem Reitnouer step. Broke right between the middle and the front axle. For a 75k+ trailer that’s quite a stomach twister.
Someone else mentioned Benson and Doonan to him. They’ve been going back and forth ever since.
I thought Benson got bought out but I wasn’t sure by who. Didn’t chaparral and Manac also get bought by a bigger company?singlescrewshaker, PoleCrusher, cke and 6 others Thank this. -
50° windy and sunny. Good day in the Summer shop. I hear the weather might go to heck again this week. Never know what to think with these weather people.
Seen this online, saved it for you @TripleSix.Lostkeys, singlescrewshaker, PoleCrusher and 10 others Thank this. -
@stwik
If I recall correctly Benson was owned by Ravens for a time and quality was poor at best. Some guys liked them and some hated them. My experience they were brittle like a Ravens. Age was never on there side. Now I am not sure if or when Fontaine fits in the ownership. But they are owned by Walbash currently. I do not have much good to say about any Walbash products. I'm not a Reit fan either. I would be looking at Mac, or East for a replacement. However if it broke behind the lead axle a few things are or have happened. Overload, load to far back, turning to fast, no dump axle(s) for turning, or the famous loose bolts in a hanger. Last that is possible poor quality aluminum.
Is it a closed tridum? Has he been hauling big single coils to pay the bills?
I'm gonna take not dumping axles while turning, With heavy concentrated load in center for 400 Alex.Lostkeys, singlescrewshaker, PoleCrusher and 6 others Thank this. -
