You say you’re holding out for a better company. I’ll tell you this. I’ve been at Schneider for just under 3 years. I’ve ALWAYS been treated fairly, professionally and respectfully from EVERY department within this organization. There is more to a job or becoming part of a company outside of base pay. Have there been frustrations? Yes. That’s with every job but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Schneider. I know, I know , I’ll soon be evicerated the mega haters. Whatever guys. The place has been good to me. If ya couldn’t cut it there, save the bitterness. .48 cpm (with bonus), Part time, made my own schedule, transitioning now to home daily dedicated.

I was looking into starting with Schneider myself. US Xpress and Werner keep calling, but I'm not quite sure who to start with just yet. I have to choose this week, but. I want to find a place that takes new grads and pays well enough for it to be worth staying a while. What is the best company for a newbie?

Well since I have 5 years of forum experience..(that's a joke) Schneider if you want good training and less time team training. SNI only does 1 week with a trainer and 2 weeks classroom. If you want longer training (1 to 2 months) go Werner

Don't let any company talk you into a Dollar General account or something similar.
Here's a good one and no endorsements required:

I agree on the dollar general or in this particular area family dollar. There are always openings on that account and I suspect for good reason. I pass by those rural stores and always am grateful I’m not the one having to figure out how to get into that tiny parking lot with a 53 foot trailer. Add in driver unload in 100 degree heat with snarky DG employees, no thanks. The Family Dollar D/C around here is always a bit of a cluster too with long lines at the gate.

Oh, I completely agree. My Husband was on the Dollar General Account with Werner and quit. The horror stories he came home with almost make me rethink my career choice. Safety issues are crazy with that account and the way he had to force himself into those tight spaces and clean up the mess of boxes most of those stores leave behind...no thank you. I don't want to job jump because of horrible account experiences.

Thank you so much. I just applied with A&R. A&S asks for 1 year experience and I'm still wet behind the ears new..lol.

Apply with A&S anyway; sometimes they bend their own rules.
I'll give you some more names and apply even if you think you won't be hired.
