Hey MedicineMan... I've never known Ryder or Penske to check the credit of a customer no matter what the equipment type they are renting is. I've done hundreds of thousands of dollars in busines with Ryder and they have never ran my credit once. What they will do, is run your credit card for a deposit based on the length of your rental. When you return the equipment, any unused amount will be credited back to you.

ryder wants about $500 a week. it's not an option.
-
That seemed pretty high...I called my guy, he told me around $300 a week, plus mileage and the hourly charge. So yeah, you'd be looking at around $400 a week after the other charges. Just depends on what market you are in and who you know. That would be the walk-up out of the blue we-don't-know-you-rate. He did mention that reefers require a pretty hefty deposit or they need to set you up with a billing account, which is where they would be running your credit. Man, they are making a killing off these! I rent tractors cheaper!
Good Luck! -
they told me $403 wk + $.04mi

they told me they don't rent or lease.
