it will depend on what the gross amount of the load is. it will vary depending on miles and weight
-
roadhog can u give me some kind of example?? it sure would help
-
Regardless of the weight, a load that pays $1000 gross, will pay you $260. (in other words, gross x .26)
Divide by the # of miles to get your gross per mile pay, subtract your cpm costs to get your net.
I tried, but I can't resist....duh.ironsetr Thanks this. -
the gross money the load pays will depend on how heavy it is AND how many miles the trip is. I didn't think he needed help figuring a simple percentage. I won't haul a load that weighs 48k for the same money as a 10k load. If you do your a moron !! If the load goes very far the extra you spend on fuel will make a differance. Also JahB instead of being a smart### understand what you are reading before you comment. It is better to keep your mouth shut and let the world think your a fool, than open it and prove it. Couldn't resist... Duh !!

New here to the forums & already calling people names....
Different parts of the industry have different pay scales. Some pay particularity on mileage, Some pay a certain dollar amount, & others pay on tonnage. -
Yep your right, so instead of giving the guy only partial info. help him out and explain it a little better. Not new here either just started posting. Oh and by the way if the shoe fits.

If I had more information in the original post, then I would be able to help. But there isn't enough information. He says he is making 26%, but doesn't say where that 26% is coming from... So technically JahB is correct with his answer with the limited information.
I've also seen you on 2 different posts name calling people. These people are here to help, offer suggestions, and possibly get some help. They are not here to be called a Moron or a Jerk. Leave that kind of talk on your CB radio. The Challenger Thanks this. -
REDD are you serious ?? Read the previous posts before I responded. I have NOT said one derogatory thing about anyone first, all I've done is try to help, but when someone makes a sarcastic remark, especially when its directed towards me I'm gonna respond.
Yes you are correct about JahB's response, only on a very limited part of the other guys question. I was trying to get more info before I gave him only a partial answer. -
Perhaps I miss-read it, it's possible. I interpreted the "DUH" comment as the fact that the question was directed to you, but he jumped in & answered it himself.
But to properly answer the original question, we need to know the gross revenue he is asking about. Considering he is asking for a 26% figure, then I'm guessing he is driving someone elses truck... So is that 26% paid to him on the gross paid to the truck or is that 26% paid to him after the expenses of the truck are paid?
